Josèfa Ntjam is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice combines sculpture, photomontage, performance, film and writing. Gleaning the raw material for her works from the internet and works of natural science, Ntjam uses collage – of images, words, sounds and stories – as the chief vehicle of a practice that aims to deconstruct the grand narratives underlying hegemonic accounts of origin, identity and history.
